MORE WORKSHOP ...

   Our next workshop is being presented by our own voicer, Fran Cimmino. The program is still in the outline stages but basically concentrates on the use of the two JOHANNUS organ features that make it possible for pianists to create beautiful and passionate music on these seemingly intimidating organs. Playing the organ without the pedals is now easy, interesting, and rewarding.

These new practical, and wonderful technical features are called Manual Bass and Cantis Firmis.

We hear more too often that there is no one to replace the retiring organist in the church so the thought of replacing the organ is sometimes a sad forgone conclusion. The "King of Instruments"  should be the sound we want to keep in our worship and cultural appreciation. This became our premise.

South Florida Organ sponsors all of the professional pianists to the initial workshop. The church then sponsors a piano student for a workshop to be taught by the professional pianists.
